have pointed at the upcoming release of the Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0
update to all Acer Iconia Tab models. The first tablet that will receive the
update is the Acer Iconia Tab A200.
Although the
Acer brand will not ring a bell each time consumers consider purchasing a
tablet, recent reports will give consumers something to think about when they
think about acquiring a tablet PC with the upcoming release of the Ice Cream
Sandwich Android 4.0 update.
The Ice
Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 OS is the first Android OS to be fully optimized for
use on tablet PCs. Although the Acer Iconia Tab devices do not come with the
best possible features for tablets, they are among the most reasonably-priced
Android-powered devices in the market.
The recent
move of Acer in offering the Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 update for the Acer
Iconia Tab lineup has impressed a number of industry watchers since other
companies have not moved as fast as the Taiwan-based company.
