Latest Report Point To October Launch For iPad Mini

iPad Mini

Earlier reports had pointed to a September 12 launch of the iPad Mini alongside the iPhone 5 of Apple.  However a recent report has pointed to a possible launch of the smaller version of the iPad in October.

The report indicated that the iPad Mini will be launched by Apple in October after the September 12 launch of the next-generation iPhone. This was revealed recently by allthingsd.com citing a number of anonymous sources.

Numerous reports in the past had pointed to an event that is scheduled to be held on September 12 that will introduce the iPad Mini together with the iPhone 5. Reports have even indicated that the new iPhone will become available for consumers by September 21.

However the wisdom of the September 12 launch event for the two Apple products was questioned by some industry watchers since it may water down some of the excitement in the release of one device. But these reports remain uncertain since Apple has not even officially confirmed the existence of the iPad Mini or the iPhone 5.

If the October launch date for the iPad Mini is accurate, it may allow Apple to focus its promotional work on the iPhone 5 in September before introducing the smaller version of the iPad by October.

Rear Camera Hinted By Supposed iPad Mini Cases

A number of iPad Mini cases that have reportedly appeared in the market in China appear to offer support for cameras both in front and the back. This was revealed by Giz-China.com, a blogging website.

Earlier reports have not hinted of a camera for the iPad Mini even as the iPad Mini cases being sold in China offer support for it.

The supposed iPad Mini cases that were posted on Giz-China.com feature a clip made of plastic on its rear cover, which hints of a possible rear-facing camera for the device. However it does not take a LED flash into consideration. The front part of the cases also hint if a FaceTime camera located along the top center portion of the display. This is similar to the 9.7-inch model of the iPad.

The supposed iPad Mini cases also show a slimmer bezel for the upcoming device compared to the current model of the iPad. The headphone jack and mute switch have been positioned on the left side of the device while the volume control is on the right.

The iPad Mini cases also show that the speaker is found at the bottom instead of the back. The upcoming device may also have a smaller-sized dock connector, which is consistent to recent reports that indicate that the dock connector of its devices will be shrunk to use around eight pins.

For the moment, these reports are mere speculation and the iPad Mini cases being sold in China may not have been designed based on the actual product and may have been based on the reported features of the next model of the iPad.

Industry watchers are currently on a wait-and-see stance when it comes to the upcoming iPad Mini of Apple, which will reportedly launch the device next month.

Video Shows Upcoming Smartphone Offering From LG

LG Electronics
LG Electronics

A recently-released video has hinted of a new smartphone offering from LG that will feature the Snapdragon S4 processor of Qualcomm together with an Adreno 320 GPU. The video was initially seen by The Verge and was in Korean.

For the moment no details were provided by LG on its upcoming smartphone offering featuring the second generation quad –core processor from Qualcomm. The upcoming smartphone is the latest venture of the company in the smartphone market, which was not quite kind to it lately.

In addition to the high-end processor, the upcoming LG smartphone will also come with a number of high-end features such as a high-end camera, better display, and bigger RAM. It is also expected to feature 4G network support.

It is also quite possible for the upcoming LG smartphone to use the Optimus brand once it is introduced into the market. A number of high-end Android smartphones of LG carry the LG brand, that is, before they were re-branded when they were released into the international market.

Even as Samsung has continued to dominate the Android smartphone market, LG has yet to offer a smartphone that will allow it to gain the recognition of consumers in the market. LG has reportedly indicated that it will be offering a number of LTE-enabled smartphones in order to make an impact in the market.

In addition to Samsung, LG will have to deal with a number of companies that are also aiming to increase their share of the market. The latest model of the Motorola Razr is set to be introduced into the market as well as the next Samsung Galaxy Note device. The company has its work cut out for them and it may be aiming to make it easier with its upcoming smartphone offering.

Should Apple Launch the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini In One Event?

iPhone 5
iPhone 5

Recent reports have pointed to the possible same day launch for the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini of Apple. The two new Apple products will reportedly be introduced by the tech giant on September 12.

Previous product launches of Apple have been quite dramatic and some industry watchers are thinking that the iPad Mini may be the ‘one more thing’ that the company will offer during the launch of the iPhone 5. Initial sentiments on the possible launch of the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini on September 12 were positive even as speculations were raised on the possibility that the company will also introduce the latest model of the iPod Nano.

However a Philadelphia-based writer has wondered out loud whether Apple will be introducing the two products at the event. John Gruber reportedly indicated that Apple may not want reviews for the two devices to come out at around the same time.

Gruber indicated that it may be possible that two events may be held by Apple when it will introduce the two products. One event will feature the iPhone 5 together with the iOS 6 while the second event will feature the iPad Mini along with a new model of the iPod Touch.

Introducing the two devices at the same time will likely put a number of die-hard Apple fans in a quandary. It may have a significant effect on their budget particularly those who have a fixed salary, which may not be enough to cover the cost of acquiring both the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.

The iPhone 5 may be considered by a number of industry watchers as one of the must-have products of Apple and offering the iPad Mini together with it may water down the excitement over the next generation smartphone offering of Apple. It may also give Apple enthusiasts something to look forward to especially with the successful release of the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the global market.

However it may also be possible that the iPhone 5 may not meet the expectations of everyone and offering the iPad Mini may reduce any dissatisfaction that consumers have for the next version of the iPhone.

All of these, of course are speculative until Apple will finally launch the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini next month. In the end, Apple will likely offer a device that will have consumers wanting for more.

According to recent reports the iPhone 5 will become available in stores by September 21 and the iPad Mini will also appear on store shelves at around the same time.

Apple iPad Market Share Dominates Second Quarter

iPad Market Share
iPad Market Share
It appears that the market share for the iPad of Apple is bigger compared to the combined share of all of rivals in the market. According to HIS iSuppli, the iPad market share is around 70 percent for the second quarter while its closest rival, the Samsung Galaxy Tab only has 9.2 percent of the entire tablet market.

The data released by the research company showed that 17 million units of the iPad of Apple for the second quarter compared to 2.3 million units shipped for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The third and the fourth slots were taken by Amazon and Asus respectively. Amazon garnered only 4.2 percent of the tablet market while 2.8 percent went to Asus. This means the iPad market share is over two times bigger compared to its competitors.

According to Rhoda Alexander, the tablet and monitor research director of the company, the iPad market share gives indications that the company has made all the suitable moves to dominate the market.  The iPad market share may be further increased with reports on the upcoming release of the iPad Mini.

Reports on the upcoming release of the seven-inch model of the iPad will allow the company to the iPad market share to expand to the market for smaller-sized tablets.

Even as Microsoft and Google are set to challenge the dominance of Apple in the tablet market, industry watchers are expecting the company to maintain its share of the market. In fact another research company has indicated that the iPad market share will be over sixty percent for the year, which is an increase from its share from last year.

Users of the older models of the iPad have also been tempted to upgrade to the current models of the device due to the inclusion of the Retina screen display and 4G LTE network support for the current model of the device. This has allowed the iPad market share to be maintained by the company.

The iPad market share has made up most of the 24.4 million units delivered around the world for the second quarter. This is an increase from the 20.3 million units delivered in the first quarter of the year.

A recent report has supposedly hinted of the possible release of a black Samsung Galaxy S3 a and a recent posting on an online retailer has increased speculations on the possible release of this color option of the most recent flagship smartphone of the manufacturer from South Korean.

A posting reportedly showed the black Samsung Galaxy S3 available for pre-orders through MobileFun.co.uk at a price tag of around £500. The supposed black Samsung Galaxy S3 will reportedly be in stock within six-week’s time. This indicates that the black color option for the flagship smartphone of Samsung will be available by the middle of the coming month.

According to the online retailer, the image of the black Samsung Galaxy S3 was not provided by the South Korean company but was based on earlier images of the device.

However Samsung has not yet officially announced the availability of the black Samsung Galaxy S3. This indicates that it would be practical for potential buyers to postpone pre-ordering the supposed new color option for the popular smartphone offering of the South Korean company.

Samsung has reportedly indicated that it does issue comments on speculations and rumors.

The image of the black Samsung Galaxy S3 initially emerged on the Facebook page of the South Korean company during the London Olympic Games. Samsung was a major sponsor of the quadrennial sporting event. After it appearance on the Facebook page of Samsung, the black Samsung Galaxy S3 was also seen listed on the inventory system of Carphone Warehouse although it simply indicated that the device was the Samsung Galaxy S3 Black. No other information was shown on the Carphone Warehouse listing of the black Samsung Galaxy S3.

It remains uncertain if the South Korean company will indeed offer the black Samsung Galaxy S3, which is currently available in blue and white color options.

September Launch for AT&T iPhone 5 Hinted

iPhone 5
iPhone 5

Even as reports on the new iPhone 5 continue to emerge, it appears that a US-based network service provider is already working on the upcoming release of the next version of the popular smartphone of Apple.

Reports have hinted that AT&T is supposedly working on plans for the introduction of the new iPhone 5, which will supposedly be available near the end of the September. An anonymous source that is considered trusted by the mobile service provider made the revelation on the possible introduction of the new iPhone 5 by the third or the fourth week of the coming month.

The latest report on the possible launch of the new iPhone 5 is consistent with recent reports that the product will be launch by Apple during an event scheduled on September 12 and its possible release on September 21.

The mobile service provider is reportedly requiring all employees to be present in order to have enough personnel to handle the potentially huge demand for the next generation iPhone. The schedules of all employees are supposed to be clear until October as indicated in a report by BGR.

Another source has reportedly revealed to BGR that a major training for regional employees of AT&T that was originally scheduled near the start of October was supposedly postponed. The reason for the postponement was a conflict with a major announcement by the company.

But it did not give any indications that the major announcement was for the launch of the new iPhone 5. Recent reports have given indications that the new iPhone 5 will be released sometime next month along with another new product from Apple, the iPad Mini.

Latest reports have also shown that a number of retailers are currently selling the older models of the iPhone at reduced prices, which hint at preparations for the upcoming release of the new iPhone 5. In addition to the third-party retailers, Apple has also given the go signal to sell the current model of the iPhone at prices similar to those offered by the third-party retailers.

A number of images of the different components of the new iPhone 5 were leaked recently including a recent image that supposedly shows the motherboard of the next model of the popular Apple smartphone.

US Release of LG Optimus Vu Coming Soon

The direct rival of the Samsung Galaxy Note is set to be released into the US market sometime in the third quarter. According reports the LG Optimus Vu may be released into the United States in the coming weeks.

The five-inch device offering of LG is a combination of a smartphone and a tablet, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note. The LG Optimus Vu will also feature 4G LTE network support and may be offered by a US-based mobile service provider.

Although no specific mobile service provider was indicated in a press release from the company, there are indications that Verizon may be the first US-based carrier to offer the LG Optimus Vu in the United States. The LG Optimus Vu was initially introduced during the Mobile World Congress last February.

The device will come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 32GB internal storage, and eight-megapixel camera. However the 1024 by 768 resolution and 4:3 ratio of its screen display will put it at a disadvantage against the Samsung Galaxy Note.

It also remains uncertain if the LG Optimus Vu will be released into the US market using the Ice Cream Sandwich Android or the older Gingerbread Android OS. Verizon may not have an easy time in promoting the upcoming smartphone/tablet hybrid if it will be released into the market using the Android 2.3 OS instead of the relatively new Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS.

LG and Verizon may have its work cut out for them as it tries to make the LG Optimus Vu competitive in the market particularly with the supposed upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

September 12 Pre-Orders For New iPhone 5 Hinted

New iPhone 5
New iPhone 5

It appears the authenticity of the supposed September release schedule for the new iPhone 5 is given more credence if a recent report is to be believed.

According to a report on iMore, pre-orders will be accepted starting on September 12 for the new iPhone 5 and is set to be delivered after one week. In addition to the September 12 event, the site also indicated that the next model of the iPhone may become available in a number of international markets by October 5.

The site cited sources that had provided accurate information on Apple products in the past.  The new iPhone 5 will reportedly become available in retail outlets by September 21 even as Apple has yet to make an official announcement on the release date of the device.

The latest report follows an earlier string of reports in connection to the new iPhone 5 which hinted of the possible features of the still-unannounced Apple product. Images of the supposed device were also leaked into the net in recent weeks although no official confirmation was made by the company in connection to the existence of the device.

In addition to the new iPhone 5, Apple will reportedly release into the market a smaller model of the iPad, the iPad Mini.

Reports also showed that the price tag for the iPhone 4S was reduced by a number of retailers including Target and Best Buy. This reduction in the price of an Apple device typically hint at the possible release of a new product, which increase speculations on the nearing release date for the new iPhone 5.

New Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga Tablet May Have Windows RT Version

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga Tablet
It appears that an upcoming Windows 8 tablet offering from Lenovo may compete with the Microsoft Surface tablet since it will offer a Windows RT model aside from the Windows 8 model. The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet has a lid that allows it to be used either as a tablet or a laptop.

Lenovo had earlier indicated that it was set to introduce a Windows RT product once the Windows 8 OS is launched by Microsoft this coming October. Although the company did not mention the name of the device, recent reports have pointed to the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet as the device that the company is set to unveil.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet will be released into the market by October and will come in two models, a Windows RT model and a Windows 8 or a Windows 8 Pro model.

Earlier reports had hinted of a Windows RT product from Lenovo that can be used either as a tablet or a notebook. Unnamed sources had indicated that the supposed Lenovo product is the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet although the company has not issued any statements in connection to these reports.

The display of the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet can be folded all the way to the back to allow its use as a tablet device. The battery life of the Windows RT model of the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet will reportedly be better compared to the Windows 8 model due to the low-powered ARM chip of the device.

However the Windows RT model of the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet will not offer support for legacy desktop applications that can be used on the Windows 8 or the Windows 8 Pro model of the device. A number of other applications used on the Windows RT model will also be limited, which will supposedly allow the device to have a better battery life.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga tablet will feature a thirteen-inch display screen and will weigh around 1.5 kilograms.

In addition to the 3D capability, the Samsung Series 7 Gamer Yellow 3D laptop will also come in a rather eye-catching yellow color. The device will feature a 3.3GHz Core i7-3610QM processor from Intel, which will not only enhance its performance but improve its battery life as well.

However the Radeon HD 7870M 2GB graphics card from AMD is considered as the more significant update for the Samsung Series 7 Gamer Yellow 3D since it is notably better compared to the GeForce GTX 675M from Nvidia that is used on the original model of the device.

The design of the Samsung Series 7 Gamer Yellow 3D also gives all the indications of a gaming laptop and its 128GB SSD that supplements the 1TB HDD will allow the device to boot-up faster aside from adding to its internal storage. The device will feature an 8GB Ram which is upgradable to 16GB.

With the battery life and power offered by the Samsung Series 7 Gamer Yellow 3D, it may be considered fully-optimized for heavy-duty gaming.

Temporary pop-up stores will be set up by Microsoft in order to promote the MicrosoftSurface RT tablet. According to ZDNet, the company will be opening a number of these mini outlets in selected cities across the United States and one location in Canada prior to the opening of the holiday shopping season.

The mini stores will be launched in order to allow the Microsoft Surface RT tablet to go up against the product offerings of Apple. This was confirmed through a job posting on the webpage of the company in order to increase sales of the upcoming tablet offering of the software giant.

The report comes after a pronouncement by an Acer executive that indicated that the Microsoft Surface Pro and Microsoft Surface RT tablet will not be a long-term product offering of the company.

Digital Download Sales To Exceed Physical Media Sales Soon

Electronic Arts
Electronic Arts

Although digital download sales continue to increase in the gaming world, Electronic Arts has indicated that it will continue to support physical media users of their products.

Digital download sales are expected to increase and eventually surpass physical sales of games in the future, according to EA, which is currently increasing its focus on digital download sales as compared to physical media sales. This will result to an increase in the mobile games as well as free-to-play games in the near future.

According to Peter Moore, the chief operating officer of EA, digital download sales are expected to increase up to a point where it will exceed sales of physical media, which may come in two or three years.

The maker of Crysis 3, The Sims 3, and Battlefield indicated is set to offer over forty social mobile as well as free-to-play games for the current fiscal year. Moore also indicated that the company may increase its lineup of such games within the year. App and games manufacturer are gradually increasing their presence in a number of app and mobile device stores that offer digital downloads like the Google Play Store, App Store of Apple and Steam.

The number of registered users on the digital download platform of EA has increased recently from around 11 million last May to around 21 million a few months after.  Despite this massive increase in digital download users, the company has indicated that it will still continue to service physical media gamers.

Moore indicated that it will continue to provide services to the users of traditional gaming media, who want to continue using discs instead of making digital downloads of the games they want to play.

Supposed Images of Motherboard for iPhone 5 Emerge

Despite an earlier lockdown imposed by Apple on its products, it appears that there are still some leaks somewhere as another image reportedly emerged in connection to the new iPhone 5.

The latest leaked image was posted by a WiPhone forum user that supposedly shows the motherboard / logic board of the next version of the iPhone of Apple. Although the processor is not included in the supposed leaked image, the smaller slot for the SIM card for the new iPhone 5 is noticeable.

The images show the front and back views of the board where the processor is positioned. It shows that the SIM card that will be used on the new iPhone 5 may be smaller compared to the one used on the current versions of the device.

An earlier leaked image had shown the nano-SIM of the new iPhone 5 and this latest leaked image adds more credence to earlier reports of a smaller SIM card for the next version of the iPhone.

In addition to the smaller SIM card, an iPhone repair company, iDeviceGuys, indicated that the battery connector shown on the supposed image of the new iPhone 5 motherboard only had four pins compared to the five pins that is found the earlier versions of the device. This gives an indication that the new iPhone 5 will likely feature a battery with a much higher capacity.

The latest leaked images were supposedly posted by the same user who had posted the genuine images of the motherboard for the iPhone 4S last year. It has now joined a number of leaked images of the new iPhone 5, which will reportedly be launched by Apple next month.

Earlier leaked images showed the different components of the new iPhone 5 including an image that supposedly showed an assembled model of the still-unreleased device.

As the supposed launch of the new iPhone 5 approaches, reports have continued to emerge and all of these reports will only be substantiated when the company will finally release the much-anticipated device into the market.

October Release For Motorola Droid Razr HD Hinted

Motorola Droid Razr HD

Reports have recently emerged on the possible introduction of two HD smartphones by Motorola Mobility. Hot Hardware recently revealed that the smartphone manufacturer will be unveiling the Motorola Droid Razr HD as well as the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD.

However the site did not reveal the sources of its report. The upcoming Motorola Droid Razr HD and the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD will reportedly be introduced by the company through Verizon by October. This comes one year after the original version of the Motorola Droid Razr was introduced into the market.

But the supposed date of introduction for the upcoming Motorola Droid Razr HD comes after the supposed release date of the iPhone 5 of Apple, which may be disadvantageous for the company.

The original Motorola Droid Razr Maxx was the most popular smartphone from Verizon due to the better battery life which extended the talk time, gaming and browsing for users of the device. Even as the report has hinted at the possible launch of two Motorola devices, it is still also possible for the company to introduce only one smartphone in the market as indicated in an FCC filing for the reported Motorola Droid Razr HD.

It remains uncertain if the reported Motorola Droid Razr HD will be able to go up against the iPhone 5 of Apple in the market especially with reports that the latest model of the iPhone will supposed feature a bigger screen display, support for 4G LTE connectivity, and an enhanced design.

The upcoming Motorola Droid Razr HD will also have to contend with the Samsung Galaxy S3, which has been performing quite well following its recent release into the market.

Price Of Nook Tablet Reduced

It appears that the release of the Google Nexus 7 tablet has created some waves in the market as Barnes & Noble reduced the price of three of the 7-inch Nook Tablet devices recently.

This shows that the company is not in any way giving up on the tablet market even as it has to deal with the recently-released tablet offering of Google in addition to the Amazon Kindle Fire, which has experienced a good amount of success in the market.

The price tag of the 16GB Nook Tablet was reduced by around 20 percent or $50 to bring down its price to $199. The 8GB model of the Nook Tablet along with the Nook Color also had their price tags reduced to $179 and $149 respectively. The recent price reduction has brought the 16GB Nook Tablet on even terms with the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7 tablet in terms of pricing.

The price reduction of the Nook Tablet may offer some short-term success for the company until the latest Amazon devices are released into the market.

Reports have emerged on the possibility that the Amazon Kindle Fire 2 will be released within the month. This upcoming device will feature two models, one with a camera while the second will not feature a camera. These devices will reportedly come with the same pixel density as the Google Nexus 7 tablet, which may become another competitor to the Nook Tablet of Barnes & Noble.

In addition to the Amazon Kindle Fire 2, reports have also hinted of another an 8.9-inch Amazon Kindle Fire, which will supposedly see the light of day by the end of the year.

These upcoming devices will likely put more pressure on the Nook Tablet of Barnes & Noble in the market even as the company tries to shore up its sales by reducing the price tag of the device.

Image Shows Bigger Battery For iPhone 5

iPhone 5
iPhone 5

If reports on the larger display and 4G LTE network connectivity for the iPhone 5 are accurate, it may be necessary to increase the battery of the next-generation iPhone. And it appears that the upcoming device will feature a comparatively higher capacity battery if a recently-leaked image is proven to be authentic.

A supposed image of the battery for the iPhone 5 of Apple recently came out which would increase the battery capacity of the device by around 10mAh compared to the current model of the device.

Earlier reports hinted of the possibility that the still-unreleased iPhone 5 will feature a bigger display screen, which may affect the battery life of the device. In addition to the bigger screen displays, Speculations have emerged on the possibility that the iPhone 5 will feature 4G LTE network connectivity, which will also drain much of the battery life of the device.

But it should be taken into account that Apple has not given the official confirmation of the existence of the iPhone 5 let alone the bigger display and the 4G LTE network connectivity. If these features will be integrated into the upcoming smartphone, the company may also have other methods in coping with the battery-draining aspect of these new features. It may even use different components for the iPhone 5 in order to enhance the battery life of the device.

If the supposed leaked image of the battery of the iPhone 5 is proven to be authentic, it may also be possible for the company to increase the voltage of the device to 3.8 volts from 3.7 volts.

The leaked image is the latest in a string of leaked images for the iPhone 5, which was not even officially confirmed by Apple. In addition to a bigger display and 4G LTE network support, previous reports had hinted of a new dock connector for the iPhone 5. Additional evidence of a bigger display for the iPhone 5 supposedly emerged through the iOS simulator app of Apple, which showed the iOS 6 running with a 640 x 1136 resolution.

All of these reports on the iPhone 5 will remain speculations until the device is finally released by the company, which is also speculated to happen sometime nextmonth.

Nikon Coolpix S800 - Upcoming Android-Powered Camera

Earlier reports had hinted that an Android-powered camera was being developed by Nikon. According to Nikonrumours, this Android-powered camera is the Nikon Coolpix S800.

The Nikon Coolpix S800 will supposedly come with a 25 to 250mm lens, 3.5-inch OLED display, integrated GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The reported Android-powered camera will use the Gingerbread Android 2.3, which is way behind the current version of the mobile OS, the Jelly Bean Android 4.1.

Access to the Google Play store may add to the appeal of the Nikon Coolpix S800, which may allow users to download apps into the device. This may give users something to do while waiting for the perfect ‘Nikon’ moment that they can capture with the supposed Android-powered camera from Nikon.

It remains uncertain whether the report on the Nikon Coolpix S800 is authentic or not since the site has not revealed its sources. However it did indicate that the reported Nikon Coolpix S800 may be unveiled by August 22, which gives potential buyers some time to save up for the device.

A number of reports had also hinted at the possibility that Samsung will be releasing its own Android-powered camera although nothing much was heard about these reports. Although some industry watchers are looking forward to the release of the reported Nikon S800, the performance of the product itself remains up in the air following the hands-on experience on the Polaroid SC1630, which also featured an Android OS.

Whether the Nikon Coolpix S800 will perform well in the market or not remains to be seen although it will be an interesting addition to the Android-powered devices that are already in the market.

Black Samsung Galaxy S3 Hinted By Facebook Post

Black Samsung Galaxy S3

Black is beautiful, as an old saying goes, and it appears that the latest flagship smartphone of Samsung will soon become available in black. An image of a black Samsung Galaxy S3 was uploaded recently into the Facebook page of the South Korean company.

The image showing black Samsung Galaxy S3 as had the white-colored version beside the new device. The caption on the image made a reference to the S Beam of the device, which allows the transmission of content from one smartphone to another.

However it remains uncertain if the image does indeed herald the coming of a black Samsung Galaxy S3, the device on the image does not match any of the devices that are currently available in the market. Another image, which used the Olympics as its theme, showed a similar black Samsung Galaxy S3 being used in taking images of a tube train.

The matte look of the black Samsung Galaxy S3 may allow it to be differentiated from the other versions of the device. However some industry watchers are speculating on the possibility that the image of the black Samsung Galaxy S3 may not be entirely authentic or it may even be a prototype of the device that has somehow found its way to the official photographers of the company.

The latest Samsung flagship smartphone is currently available in pebble blue and white although some issues in production may have affected the pebble blue model.

However it should also be taken into account that Samsung does have a knack for offering new color options for its popular devices so it is still quite possible that the black Samsung Galaxy S3 may already be in the works.

Nikon J2 Camera – Latest 1-Series Entry

A new entry to the 1-series cameras was announced by Nikon less than a year after its launch. The Nikon J2 camera will feature a 2.5x standard zoom lens or an 11-27.5mm lens, which is not up to the 3x standard of the 1-series camera of the company.

The Nikon J2 camera appears similar to its predecessor although it features a Creative Mode setting found on the back of the device. A new Xbox by 2014? This was hinted recently in a job posting on the Careers Website of Microsoft before it was removed. The job posting reportedly showed that the company was looking for a marketing professional who will work on new versions of some significant products of the company.

The job posting reportedly included the Xbox in addition to Windows, Office and Microsoft Surface.

Reports on a new Xbox have emerged in recent months with some calling it as the Xbox 720 and will reportedly be released in the coming year. The marketing professional will reportedly work on the new versions of the products of the company including the new Xbox over the next eighteen months. This gives indications that the new Xbox may see the light of day near the end of 2013 or the early part of 2014.

The job posting of Microsoft did not give any indications on the specific timeframe of the release of the products, which means that the new Xbox may become available within the eighteen-month timeframe.

The latest indications of the possible release of the next-generation Xbox follows a confidential MS PowerPoint file that was leaked into the net last June. The leaked file supposedly showed the future plans of the software giant for its game console. However the file was quickly removed through the efforts of the lawyers of the company.

The file reportedly gave indications that the new Xbox will be released during the holiday shopping season of 2013 and will have a price tag of around $299.

In addition to the possible new Xbox of Microsoft, the Wii U of Nintendo will reportedly be released within the year while the next-generation Sony PlayStation will enter the market either next year or sometime in 2014. The recent reports on the new Xbox remain uncertain since no confirmations were made by the company in connection to the next version of its game console.

In connection to the recent job posting linked to the new Xbox the company indicated that it is constantly looking for individuals with the talent to make innovations for its products although it has remained mum on the recently removed job posting on its Careers Website.

CouponCodes4u conducted a survey recently to find out which of the two still-unannounced Apple products is more popular. The results may not surprise some industry watchers since the upcoming iPhone 5 was the more desirable device compared to the iPad Mini.

The survey showed that the iPhone 5 will become the foremost product of Apple in terms of sales despite the fact that the company has not yet officially confirmed their existence. The margin between the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini was reportedly wide in the survey that included 1,900 individuals.

Around 78 percent of the participants opted for the iPhone 5 with a number of the respondents indicating that the smartphone will be more useful for them. Some of the respondents even raised some questions on the usefulness of the upcoming iPad Mini.

Although the iPhone has being considered as a luxury item, it has been a rather successful product offering of Apple. This is due to the fact that a smartphone is a rather useful device for most if not all owners of the device. It is without a doubt that the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini will become successful after they are finally released into the market in the coming month as what recent reports have hinted.

However it should be taken into consideration that the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini survey is not a true cross-section of all consumers in the market since over 75 percent of the survey participants already own a product from Apple while 64 percent reportedly own an iPhone. Around 40 percent of the respondents of the survey already have an iPad.

Although the iPhone 5 was considered to be the most desirable Apple product in the recent survey around 21 percent have indicated that they are thinking of giving their children an iPad Mini.
