The High Court in Australia reportedly decided that it will not hear the application of Apple for a special leave that would have restored the ban on the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Due to this, Samsung will be able to bring in the tablet into Australia and introduce it into the market during the holiday season.
This definitely good news to the Aussies, who were limited to purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 through unofficial channels while the ban was in place.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the devices that Apple sought to ban in a number of countries including Germany, which has currently banned the sale of the device
Reports have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will have a price tag of about $579 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only version while 3G capable version of the tablet will reportedly cost about $729.
