The Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to become available in the market by April 11 in numerous countries around the world. Among the first US-based carriers to offer the latest product offering of the South Korean manufacturer are Verizon Wireless, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. It will also be offered through US Cellular and MetroPCS. A number of retail stores will also offer the device, including Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Amazon, Best Buy, Costco and RadioShack.

The lightweight, all-plastic device is expected to have a price tag of around $200 when it comes with the typical two-year mobile service contract. On the other hand, an unlocked version of the device may have a price tag ranging from $600 up to $700.

One of the main features of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the fingerprint scanner, which is one of the methods to secure the device. The scanner can also be used in paying for services purchased through PayPal. A total of three fingerprints can be stored on the device.

Another nifty feature that has apparently taken into consideration the trend towards healthy living is the heart rate monitor. It joins a number of products that are relying on the increasing interest on a healthy lifestyle. This will make the device an appealing choice for fitness buffs looking for a good smartphone to purchase.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also dust and water resistant. The release of the Samsung S4 Active allowed the South Korean manufacturer to evaluate if it can offer such a device into the market. However, fans of the Hub may not fret since they can still download the numerous apps they may want to use on the device.

One thing that has plagued numerous smartphones in the past is battery life. Samsung revealed the Ultra Power Saving Mode of the device will allow it to continue running for 24 hours even when battery life has gone down to 10 percent. The software feature limits the processor, changes the display to grayscale, turns off Wi-Fi and shuts down GPS. If the feature works, it may be one device that people may want to consider acquiring.

For the moment, it remains to be seen how the latest flagship smartphone of Samsung will fare against its rivals. Until a head-to-head comparison is made with the latest devices available in the market, the jury is still out on the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S5.

An upcoming Samsung Galaxy Core smartphone that has a dual-SIM option may be unveiled by the South Korean manufacturer before the end of the month.

The upcoming smartphone will come in two variants, one that has only one SIM while the second one will be a dual-SIM model. The single-SIM model may not be launched earlier than July while the dual-SIM model will be unveiled within the month.

The upcoming dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy Core smartphone will feature a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and an internal storage of 8GB. The internal storage can be expanded up to 64GB through a microSD memory card. It will also feature a 4.3-inch WVGA display screen, a 5MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

The smartphone will use the Jelly Bean Android 4.1 OS and will come with the Samsung Hub along with a number of other Samsung apps.

The Samsung Galaxy Core smartphone will also offer users with the Smart Stay feature that dims the display whenever users turn their eyes away from the screen. It will also feature the Smart Alert feature that informs users of missed messages and calls whenever they pick up the device. The S Voice will also allow users to use the device using voice commands while the Motion UI of the device will allow users to trigger some commands through specific motions and gestures.

For the moment, no information was released on the availability and the price tag for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Core smartphone.

Users will be able to use only 8.9GB of the 16GB internal storage of the Samsung GalaxyS4. But if you ask me, with all of the features found on the device, the internal storage available on the device may not matter that much unless you are looking at installing more applications that may be used once or twice during the lifetime of the latest flagship smartphone of Samsung.

Samsung indicated that around 6.85GB of the internal storage is used in providing the high-resolution display of the Samsung Galaxy S4 along with the other features that consumers will use. Some industry watchers have indicated that these features cannot be moved into the MicroSD memory card of the device. This situation can also be observed in a number of other Samsung devices including the Samsung Galaxy S3, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

They may have an issue with this since it will mean that users will be limited to a much smaller internal storage if they aim to download an application that is bigger than 1G. One example is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which requires 1.4GB of available storage. However, would you want to limit yourself to a small display when you are playing with an impressive game?

Users can try to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 to transfer the applications, however, it should be noted that this will void the warranty of the device. It is also not recommended for users who are not quite knowledgeable in the process since it may result to a bricked smartphone if it is not done properly.

This limitation is also similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro where the storage available for users is quite limited. For users who aim to install more applications into the Samsung Galaxy S4, it would be advisable to purchase one that has bigger internal storage in order to have enough space for the applications that they want to download.

The Samsung Nexus 11 tablet may be unveiled by the South Korean tech giant before the end of the year, basing on a report posted on SamMobile. Samsung is expected to unveil at least four additional tablets this year with the Nexus tablet being one of them.

The upcoming device will come with an eleven-inch Super PLS TFT screen display, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and a microSD memory card slot. In addition to these features, the blog revealed that the device will be the first tablet to use an octo-core from Samsung.

For the moment, it remains uncertain which Android version will be used on the Samsung Nexus 11. However, since reports have shown that the Android 5.0 OS is set to be released within the year, it may be possible for the Samsung Nexus 11 to be among the first devices to use the latest version of the operating system from Google. It can be recalled that the Samsung Nexus 10 was among the first devices to use the Jelly Bean Android 4.2 OS when it was launched late last year.

Aside from the next Nexus tablet, Samsung is also expected to release another Samsung Galaxy Tab. This particular tablet may have the same features of the previous models of the device. It may also feature the TouchWiz customized user interface and a more reasonable price tag.

A seven-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab Duos and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 are also anticipated to be unveiled before the end of the year. The former will feature support for dual-SIM cards and may be a variation of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.  On the other hand the latter is expected to be sold in the same market segment as the iPad Mini of Apple.

If this is true, it will be a god-send for outdoor enthusiasts who think twice of bringing their smartphones whenever they commune with nature.

The report also indicated that this model of the latest flagship smartphone of Samsung will be introduced by Samsung in July. The reported device will supposedly be dustproof and waterproof but will have the same appearance as the current model of the smartphone.

Although the supposed Samsung Galaxy S4 Active may be a blessing for outdoor enthusiasts, it may likely be promoted for use among government or corporate clients. It will also be useful for workers out in the field.

The seven-inch tablet has similar specs as the current model of the tablet although its processor has been boosted from the 1.0GHz for the Galaxy Tab 2 to a dual-core 1.2GHz processor for the upcoming model of the tablet. The upcoming model is also available in an 8GB or 16GB variant and offers a bigger external storage capability with 64GB through a microSD memory card slot.

Although the 1024 by 600 display of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is not quite impressive, t is capable of supporting full HD 1080p video playback. In comparison, the resolution of the Google Nexus 7 is at 1280 by 800.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is also shorter compared to the current model at 7.4 inches compared to the 7.63-inch length of the Galaxy Tab 2.  It is also lighter, thinner, and narrower compared to the current model of the tablet.

The release of the seven-inch tablet will allow the company to compete directly with other similarly-sized tablets in the market from Google, Apple, and Amazon.

The upcoming model of the tablet offering from Samsung will also offer a three-megapixel rear-facing camera coupled with a 1.3MP camera in front. The 3G model of the device will reportedly allow users to make calls due to the extra speaker and the proximity sensor found on this particular model of the device.

Recent reports have hinted at the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will feature models having a screen size of eight and ten inches.

Specifications were reportedly leaked recently showing three new tablet offerings from Samsung that will increase its already huge lineup of tablets. The upcoming variant of the Galaxy Tab may feature a 10.1-inch tablet and another similarly-sized tablet that is set to be promoted to the high-end market. The 10.1-inch variant of the tablet will also feature a 1GB RAM as compared to the supposed 2GB RAM on the eight-inch model. The ten-inch model will also have an internal storage of 16GB although the storage capacity of the eight-inch model remains uncertain.

On the other hand, the resolution of the display screen on the high-end variant of the ten-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will be at 2500 by 1600 pixels. It will also feature the 1.7GHz dual-core Exynos 5 processor of Samsung, 2GB RAM, the Mali-T694 GPU and an internal storage of 16GB. It will also offer users the opportunity to expand its storage through a microSD memory card.

Other features of this variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 include a 5MP camera at the back, 1.9MP camera in front and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It will run using the Android 4.2 OS.

The high-end model of the tablet is expected to compete directly with the Google Nexus 10. The processor, display resolution, RAM, and GPU of the tablet is similar to those found on the Google tablet.

The South Korean company recently confirmed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 will come with a quad-core processor instead of one that features eight cores.

When the next variant of the Galaxy S line was announced last month, speculations emerged on what processor the smartphone will have. Some reports hinted at the 1.9GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm while others indicated that the device will feature a 1.6GHs eight-core Octa Exynos 5 processor from Samsung.

However, these speculations were recently put to rest by the confirmation by the South Korean manufacturer.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will also have a five-inch full-HD Super AMOLED screen display and a 13MP camera at the back. The latest variation of the Galaxy S series will be run on the Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2 OS.

The upcoming smartphone will be offered through a number of mobile service providers including Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, C-Spire and Cricket. Staples, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, Walmart, and RadioShack will also be offering the smartphone in the market.

The pricing structure will be released individually by each of the mobile service provider and retail outlet. The smartphone will be available in three models a 16GB model, 32GB model and a 64GB model. The version of T-Mobile will be released on April 24 at a price tag of around $150 with the usual 24-month service contract. The latest advertisements for the Samsung Galaxy S4 do not take shots at the main rival of the South Korean company.

It may show the confidence of the company in the market as it released a more tasteful set of advertisements that highlight some of the features of the smartphone. They can also be described as cute and simple. It does not show any hints of the iPhone of Apple, which was what the smartphone company did in the advertisements of its previous Galaxy models.

One advertisement shows a girl visiting a Chinese family. She uses the Samsung S Translator on the Samsung Galaxy S4 to translate what she is saying in Chinese. The family was initially puzzled at what she was doing, but after the smartphone translated what she said, they were immediately amused.

Another advertisement shows a basketball team waiting nervously for the game to start. One player plays a song and shares it with the other players using the Group Play feature of the smartphone, which eases the tension before the game.

The third advertisement is about a son who is leaving for a trip out of the country and his mother is asking to send pictures during his trip. Instead of sending simple pictures, he uses the Sound And Shot feature of the smartphone to add sounds into the pictures that he sends through his Samsung Galaxy S4.

The release of the advertisements have shown that the South Korean company has gotten over its need to take a shot at Apple each time it promotes its product. However, it remains uncertain if this change in attitude will continue when Apple will release a new set of the products in the market.

But for the moment, the advertisements for the Samsung Galaxy S4 appear to highlight the features of the smartphone as the company tries to make it more appealing to potential buyers.

The two new smartphones from Samsung will reportedly have a screen size of 5.8 inches and 6.3 inches. The Samsung Galaxy Mega product lineup will reportedly feature the TouchWiz Nature interface of Samsung together with the Jelly Bean Android OS. The smartphones will enter the midrange Android smartphone market.

The 5.8-inch Samsung Galaxy Mega or the GT-i9152 will reportedly offer a 5.8-inch qHD LCD screen display, dual-core 1.4GHz processor, and an eight-megapixel camera at the back. It will also feature a 2,600 mAh battery.

The chassis of the upcoming large-screen smartphone will reportedly be only 10 millimeters. The size of the smartphone will also be a little bigger than the Samsung GalaxyNote 2.  It may also be offered in two variations, a single-SIM and a dual-SIM or the Duos model.

On the other hand, rumors have also hinted at the possibility that the 6.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Mega smartphone will feature a 6.3-inch HD screen display, dual-core Exynos processor, eight-megapixel camera at the back, and a two-megapixel camera in front.

Reports have also pointed at a mid-June launch of the 5.8-inch model of the Samsung Galaxy Mega smartphone while the 6.3-inch smartphone will be unveiled a couple of weeks after.

Following reports on the possible launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 next year, two bendable display screens are set to be unveiled by Samsung Display at the upcoming Consumer Electronic Show, a cnet.com report indicated. The bendable display screen is touted to create a huge impact on the future designs of smartphones and televisions.

It can be recalled that reports had hinted at the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S4 may use a bendable or foldable screen display, which will make it virtually unbreakable.

One of the bendable display screens that will be unveiled is a 5.5-inch screen display that is expected to be used on smartphones and it features a 1280 by 720 resolution with a 267ppi pixel density. This may be used on the supposed Samsung GalaxyS4, if reports on the upcoming successor to the Galaxy S3 are true.

In addition to the 5.5-inch display, a 55-inch display is also set to be unveiled that will be used on a television.

Although the bendable screen can be curved without damaging it, it cannot be rolled up yet. Samsung Display is also set to create a cover lens and touch panel that can be used on the bendable display, which was created by the company.

Samsung initially unveiled a 4.5-inch WVGA display at the CES 2011 that featured a pixel density of 200ppi. The bigger screen size and resolution of the new display shows that the company is up to date with the expectations for the latest smartphone models.

For the moment, there are no new reports on the supposed Samsung Galaxy S4 although the upcoming launch of the 5.5-inch bendable screen display may be considered a part of the development of the upcoming device if it will indeed feature the screen display.

Although rumors have hit the net on the possible launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 by January, a recent Korean Times report hints at the possibility that the South Korean company is already working on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The supposed successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will reportedly feature an even bigger screen display at 6.3 inches. The report cited component suppliers as the source of the report on the supposed Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which indicated that Samsung will be using an OLED display instead of a LCD display.

The report did not reveal the possible release date of the supposed Samsung Galaxy Note 3 although speculations have emerged that it may be available in the market in the later part of 2013. The display screen of the supposed Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a step-up from the 5.5-inch display screen of the second version of the device, which in itself is also slightly bigger compared to the 5.3-inch size of the display of the original Galaxy Note.

Even as a number of industry watchers have given not-so-positive comments on the bigger screen size of the display of the device, it has proved to be popular in the market. Sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note reached five million units within two months after it became available in the market.

If Samsung will maintain 16:9 aspect ratio for its upcoming device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may have a display that is 0.4 inches taller and 0.7 inches wider compared to the second generation Galaxy Note. It will also give indications that the pixel density of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be 350ppi, which is higher compared to the iPhone 5.

However with the increase in size, it will also mean that it will not be easy to keep the supposed Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in your pocket when you are not using it.

However, the bigger display for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may be offset with a slimmer frame or smaller bezel.

Whichever the case may be, it will remain to be seen if the supposed Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will duplicate the success of its predecessors in the market . . . that is if the report is proven to be accurate.

The post and video told consumers to be ready for something to happen from January 8 to 11, which is also the dates of next year’s upcoming CES event.

Reports on the possible launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have emerged in recent weeks even as its current Android-powered flagship smartphone remains popular among consumers.

Nothing much can be taken from the video itself although it contains a phrase indicating that “the world is waiting”, which increased speculations that the company may finally unveil the Samsung Galaxy S4. The Samsung Galaxy S3 entered the market last May and has become one of the most popular smartphone offerings of the South Korean manufacturer.

The South Korean company recently added the Samsung Galaxy Muse into its Galaxy line of devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Muse has a similar price tag as the iPod Shuffle but has a bigger storage capacity. It allows you to go through your workout sessions or jog on usual route while listening to your favorite music without having to bring your Android smartphone around.

The MP3 player from Samsung offers a total storage of 4G, which is twice the storage capacity of the iPod Shuffle. Both devices have a price tag of around $50. The Samsung Galaxy Muse features the Music Sync Android, which allows you to sync music from your Samsung Galaxy device without using a PC.

The Samsung Galaxy Muse can be linked with the Samsung Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S2, and the Samsung Galaxy S3. It can be connected to these Galaxy devices through a connector cable, which comes with the Samsung Galaxy Muse package.  It offers the same playback controls as a standard media device including skip, shuffle, and go back.

The integrated clip on the Samsung Galaxy Muse will allow users to attach the device into their clothing.

The Samsung Galaxy Muse is currently available through Samsung.com and comes in two color options, marble white and pebble blue.

The current Android-powered flagship smartphone of Samsung is set to receive a Premium Suite upgrade. A video was unveiled recently revealing the features that are set to be released for the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is considered as the one of the most popular Android-powered smartphones that is currently available in the market. The third quarter saw shipments reaching 18 million units, which is much higher compared to the 5.4 million shipped units in the second quarter.

The features on the smartphone prior to the Premium Suite upgrade have attracted a number of users to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S3. It appears that the coming upgrade may further increase its appeal in the market.

Among the features on the upgrade is the Page Buddy feature that allows the device to enhance user experience based on the actions of the users of the smartphone. For instance, if earphones are plugged into the Samsung Galaxy S3, the Page Buddy feature will start loading the music player. The Premium Suite upgrade also brings the multi-window feature into the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The Premium Suite upgrade will also bring a contextual menu feature into the Samsung Galaxy S3. The feature will display the most frequently used applications of the users instead of showing the complete list of applications. Users will also be able to share web pages and modify the size of text through the Reader Mode feature.

Facebook fanatics will also find the Facebook Lock Ticker appealing since it will display the social news feed of the user on the lock screen of the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Although the South Korean company unveiled the Premium Suite upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S3 through the video, the specific release date has yet to be revealed. The release date of the update will depend on the mobile service provider and the country where the users are currently located.

Recent reports have hinted at the possibility that the next Android-powered flagship smartphone of Samsung will feature these bendable displays. Using a bendable display on the Samsung Galaxy S4 brings to mind the time of the flip phones although the upcoming smartphones using the bendable displays may be more of roll-outs rather than folding phones.

Reports have hinted that the Samsung Galaxy S4 may be released into the market near the middle of 2013. And if the device will feature the foldable display, it can be expected that a number of video sharing sites will see an increase in the number of gadget torture test videos being posted.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Of AT&T Receives Android 4.1 Update

The Jelly Bean Android 4.1 OS was finally released to the Samsung Galaxy S3 of AT&T. The availability of the latest version of the Android OS was confirmed by the mobile service provider recently.

The JellyBean Android update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 of AT&T will be released through the Samsung Kies software and will not be available as an over-the-air download. Users who do not have the Samsung Kies software can download the update through the website of the South Korean manufacturer.

After installing the Jelly Bean Android update into their Samsung Galaxy S3 units, users are asked to connect the smartphone into a PC and visit the support site of the smartphone manufacturer. They will have to go through the step-by-step procedure on the page.

Samsung advised Samsung Galaxy S3 users to fully charge their units since the upgrade will not be completed if the charge level falls below fifty percent.

According to Ryan Lee, the product manager of AT&T, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be enhanced with the Android 4.1 update, which will also offer a number of new features into the smartphone. Among the enhancements that the Android 4.1 update will bring to the Samsung Galaxy S3 include an improvement in Image quality under low light conditions while the notifications feature will be improved. The device will also receive some new features including Google Now.

Users will also have the capability of disabling notifications, incoming calls, and alarms at a specific time period.

The Android 4.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 will also simplify user experience through the Easy Mode while texting and typing will be made simple through the Swype keyboard.

In addition to the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S3, the update is also available to the Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint versions of the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera will soon become available through Verizon as reports have indicated that the Verizon version of the Android-powered camera was reportedly spotted at the FCC.

Initial feedback on the Samsung Galaxy Camera was generally positive although its limited availability drew some reactions from industry watchers. The device was initially only available through AT&T but the recent report has hinted at the possibility that Verizon will also be offering the device in the market.

Details about the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy Camera emerged recently and they indicated that the 700MHz LTE band of Verizon may be supported by the device. Some industry watchers have hinted of the possible release of the 4G version of the device following reports on the testing made last November.

The price of the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Camera has yet to be revealed although there is a possibility that the price may be subsidized by the mobile service provider, which will make it affordable to the consumers.

Although the Samsung Galaxy Camera is a nice device to have, consumers may have to shell out a monthly fee in order to optimize the use of the device.
