Reports have
revealed that the LG Snapshot may enter the market before the end of the year
through Sprint or through the postpaid partners of the mobile service provider.
The LG Snapshot
reportedly looks similar to the LG Optimus L7 and will come with a 1GHz
processor, 768MB RAM, an internal storage of 4GB and a 5MP camera. A VGA camera
will also be featured in front of the upcoming entry-level smartphone and will
have a microSD memory card slot that may be used to expand its internal
storage.
Although the
specific details on the display of the LG Snapshot remains uncertain, some
observers anticipate an 800 by 480 resolution on a four-inch display screen.
Since the
upcoming entry-level LG Snapshot may not feature 4G LTE network support or near
field communications connectivity, it may be included in the device lineups of
Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile. Since the features of the upcoming smartphone
may not be suitable in the smartphone lineup of Sprint, it may end up as part
of the device offerings of a no-contract no-frills mobile service provider.
Reports have
also hinted that the upcoming LG Snapshot will be released in the fourth
quarter of the year.
