Following the availability of the HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S 3, Android enthusiasts are facing a difficult decision on which smartphone to purchase. These two smartphones are considered as among the best in the market which makes it doubly difficult to pick one.

In terms of design, the all-white polycarbonate plastic chassis of the HTC One X makes it a really attractive option. The handset has a smooth feel but offers an easy grip for users. Although it has a large 4.7-inch display, the HTC One X is a rather slim device at 0.36 inches although the Samsung Galaxy S 3 is slimmer at 0.34 inches.

However the Samsung Galaxy S 3 also offers some design advantages over the HTC One X. The latest flagship smartphone of Samsung features rounded curves that are smooth to the touch and fits the hand like a glove. Although it is made of plastic, it comes with a premium paint that is better compared to its predecessor. The Samsung Galaxy S 3 also features a removable battery and microSD memory card slot.

The huge 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display screen of the Samsung Galaxy S 3 features a 1280 by 720 resolution and offers vivid colors and deep blacks. On the other hand, the HTC One X also features a resolution of 1280 by 720 on its 4.7-inch Super LCD display screen which offers lifelike hues although its colors do not offer the same vividness as the Samsung Galaxy S 3. The text and images on the HTC One X are also crisper while its display is brighter.

The Samsung Galaxy S 3 comes with numerous features that make it a cutting-edge device. Among these features are the Android 4.0 mobile platform from Google and the S Beam which facilitates the transmission of content between devices by simply tapping them against each other. It also features a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM and an internal memory of 16GB.

The HTC One X also comes with the Android 4.0 OS and the latest HTC 3 custom user interface. Although the HTC device does not feature the voice and gesture controls that are found on the Samsung Galaxy S 3, some of these features may not be useful to ordinary smartphone users. The HTC one X also comes with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S 3 and the HTC One X both feature an eight-megapixel camera that features backlit sensors. The two devices also fully utilize the burst shot feature of the Ice Cream Sandwich Android which allows rapid image capture. However the Samsung Galaxy S 3 maintains its advantage over the HTC One X due to its much clearer HD video capability as well as the two-megapixel front-facing camera.

In terms of network connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and HTC One X use the 4G LTE network of AT&T which offer similar data speeds.

Choosing between the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and the HTC One X is not an easy task to do since both devices offer similar features that have made them among the best devices in the market today. However the Samsung Galaxy S 3 provides users with a removable battery that will come handy whenever the power cell of the device needs to be replaced. Despite this, the HTC one X also offers an stylish interface as well as excellent design qualities making the choice between the two devices all the more difficult.

Whichever smartphone users may opt for, both the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and the HTC One X offer potential users advanced features that will give its competitors a run for their money.
