If reports on the larger display and 4G LTE network connectivity for the iPhone 5 are accurate, it may be necessary to increase the battery of the next-generation iPhone. And it appears that the upcoming device will feature a comparatively higher capacity battery if a recently-leaked image is proven to be authentic.

A supposed image of the battery for the iPhone 5 of Apple recently came out which would increase the battery capacity of the device by around 10mAh compared to the current model of the device.

Earlier reports hinted of the possibility that the still-unreleased iPhone 5 will feature a bigger display screen, which may affect the battery life of the device. In addition to the bigger screen displays, Speculations have emerged on the possibility that the iPhone 5 will feature 4G LTE network connectivity, which will also drain much of the battery life of the device.

But it should be taken into account that Apple has not given the official confirmation of the existence of the iPhone 5 let alone the bigger display and the 4G LTE network connectivity. If these features will be integrated into the upcoming smartphone, the company may also have other methods in coping with the battery-draining aspect of these new features. It may even use different components for the iPhone 5 in order to enhance the battery life of the device.

If the supposed leaked image of the battery of the iPhone 5 is proven to be authentic, it may also be possible for the company to increase the voltage of the device to 3.8 volts from 3.7 volts.

The leaked image is the latest in a string of leaked images for the iPhone 5, which was not even officially confirmed by Apple. In addition to a bigger display and 4G LTE network support, previous reports had hinted of a new dock connector for the iPhone 5. Additional evidence of a bigger display for the iPhone 5 supposedly emerged through the iOS simulator app of Apple, which showed the iOS 6 running with a 640 x 1136 resolution.

All of these reports on the iPhone 5 will remain speculations until the device is finally released by the company, which is also speculated to happen sometime nextmonth.
