A number of
leaked images of the supposed iPhone 5 have emerged in recent weeks and the
latest leaked image shows the supposed nano-SIM tray for the next model of the
iPhone of Apple.
The images
of the supposed nano-SIM tray of the iPhone 5 were initially posted on
nowhereelse.fr and were reportedly sourced from the main source of the
components of the iPhone, China. The upcoming next-generation iPhone will
reportedly be introduced by September together with another Apple device, the
iPad Mini.
The images
showed that the width of the nano-SIM tray was smaller compared to the
micro-SIM tray. The extra space provided by the smaller nano-SIM tray will
definitely be beneficial for the upcoming iPhone 5.
Apple has
yet to confirm the use of the nano-SIM card on the upcoming iPhone 5 although
the design was already given the approval by ESTI. The post on nowhereelse.fr
also includes a supposed redesigned Home button although it appear quite
similar to the design used on the iPhone 4 as well as the iPhone 4S. The only
noticeable difference is that the Home button of the two previous models of the
iPhone appeared wider compared to the Home button on the upcoming iPhone 5.
The report
did not give any indications that the upcoming iPad Mini will be using the new
nano-SIM that will supposedly be used on the iPhone 5. It also did not give any
indications that the Home button on the smaller iPad will be modified.
Reports on
the upcoming iPhone 5 have continued to emerge even as Apple has yet to
officially confirm the existence of the upcoming device although hints recently
came out on a possible new device offering from the company.
