The next iPhone will reportedly be released into the market before the end of the year, and with the appearance of the iOS 7 in a number of web logs, it seems that it will only be a matter of time before the next model of the smartphone offering of Apple will enter the market.

However, a note from Morgan Stanley has upped the ante recently. According to the research note written by Katy Huberty, the production of several iPhone SKUs will start by June or July, and it will be launched by the company by September. This may give indications that there may be more than one new iPhone in the pipeline. The research note was dubbed as “Systems and PC Hardware Asia Trip Takeaways Part 1.”

Although reports about the next iPhone started to emerge some time ago, most of these reports were mainly focused on a single iPhone model or the iPhone 5S. It should also be noted that Huberty was in touch with suppliers in Asia, which will give the research note more weight over previous speculations about the upcoming device. The research note also gave the schedule on the upcoming launch of the device.

It can be recalled that an earlier report from a Japan-based industrial newspaper revealed that production of the display panels for the next iPhone will start by June at the Kameyama plant of Sharp.  Putting these earlier reports together may also add credence to the note released by Morgan Stanley in connection to the upcoming device.

The launch of the new models of the iPhone is also expected to correspond to the release of the iOS 7. The next iPhone is expected to feature a new processor and other internal components that may be an upgrade to the current model of the device.

It appears that Apple may be taking something from the strategy of its rival as an analyst indicated that the iPhone 6 may be unveiled with a bigger screen display next year.

According to Peter Misek of Jefferies, an upcoming model of the iPhone will have a bigger screen and it may be unveiled by Apple next summer. Although the main draw of the iPhone 5S will be more color alternatives for its buyers, the company may not be satisfied with the large-screen iPhone 5, which was unveiled last year.

Even as Misek did not reveal the specific screen size of the iPhone 6 in the note he wrote to investors, it did indicate that the upcoming iPhone 5S will have a four-inch screen display when it will be launched sometime this year. The iPhone 5S will supposedly feature an enhanced processor, a better camera and more color options that may be appealing to potential buyers.

Making the screen size of the iPhone bigger is sensible since the Samsung Galaxy S4 of its main rival in the market has a screen size of five inches. This is considerably bigger compared to the screen size of the current model of the iPhone, which may change once the iPhone 6 is released next summer.

The supposed low-cost iPhone may come with a plastic casing and not the more expensive aluminum cover, which is featured on other versions of the device. An image leaked recently showed a white-colored iPhone that reportedly has a back made of plastic.

It can be recalled that a number of reports emerged suggesting that a cheaper version of the smartphone offering of Apple will be introduced into the market. The recently-leaked image may give proof to the existence of the device. The image was shared by Tactus, a manufacturer of mobile casings. It showed the plastic back case of for the iPhone of Apple.

It remains uncertain how the manufacturer was able to get hold of the casing and whether the supposed casing for the low-cost iPhone is authentic. However, reports indicating that the cheaper versions of the smartphone will be offered in the market initially emerged last February through Macotakara, an Apple news website based in Japan.

The website revealed that the next iPhone will be thicker compared to the current models of the device.

Although it may be possible for Apple to introduce the low-cost iPhone into the market before the end of the year, it may not be the last iPhone that the company will introduce this year. Reports have indicated that the next iPhone will be called the iPhone 5S, which will featured better graphics, an enhanced processor, and a bigger display.

Apple has not confirmed reports of the supposed cheaper version of the iPhone, which is typical of the company when it comes to rumors and speculations. The company normally offers an aluminum casing for the iPhone although it may be possible Apple to offer a low-cost iPhone with a plastic case as shown on the image that was leaked recently.

Latest reports have pointed at the possibility that Apple may introduce the new iPhone over the summer. If reports are proven to be accurate, the company may go back to the time when it introduced the iPhone 4 into the market during the summer.

The new iPhone will reportedly have a similar shape and size as the current model of the iPhone. It also appears that Apple is working on making the upcoming model of its flagship product cheaper. It may be available in the market in the second half of this year.

The last two models of the iPhone were released in fall, with the iPhone 5 unveiled during an event that was held last September. It became available in the market before the month ended. On the other hand, the iPhone 4S was unveiled by Apple in October of the previous year.

Even though the iPhone 5 of Apple has yet to cool its heels, reports of the supposed iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 have started to gain momentum. A post on a micro-blogging site based in China revealed that the two devices have already made an appearance at a Chinese Apple supplier.

The post by Old Yao on Sina Tech added that the two new iPhone models may be released into the market this year. He indicated that one of his friends was able to catch a glimpse of the two devices. The iPhone 5S reportedly has a similar design as the iPhone 5. On the other hand, the iPhone 6 will be longer, wider, and slimmer.

Apple did not release any statement in connection to the report. However, experience has shown that each time Apple is getting nearer to releasing a new device, reports and speculations about the device normally increase. However, some of these reports are unsubstantiated, which means that the post of Old Yao about the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6 should be taken with a good amount of salt.

Previous speculations by analysts hinted at the possibility that the iPhone 5S will be released sometime in June or in July. A redesigned model of the device, which may probably be the iPhone 6 is also speculated to be released at around the same time. 

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst from KGI Securities, indicated that the S model of the iPhone 5 will have a similar design as the current model of the iPhone. But it will come with a number of enhancements including a fingerprint sensor and the A7 chip, which will improve the performance of the iPhone 5S. The iPhone 6 will reportedly offer a bigger screen display, which may be more appealing to consumers particularly those who fell in love with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Cheap iPhone? Anyone? A recent report from the Wall Street Journal hinted at the possibility that a cheap iPhone will be launched by Apple within the year. However, this appears to be old news since Wall Street Journal apparently made a similar report some time ago.

The report also comes after Digitimes, a Taiwan-based website, reported the possibility that the cheap iPhone will be promoted mainly in developing countries.

An anonymous source reportedly indicated that Apple has been looking into developing a cheap iPhone for some time already. However, it was only recently when some progress has been made in the creation of the device. The device will reportedly have a polycarbonate plastic shell, which is the only new detail in the report. The source also revealed that the cheap iPhone will be unveiled by Apple before the end of the year.

A Wall Street Journal report in February 2011 indicated that a prototype of the iPhone was supposedly spotted and is set to be sold as part of the device lineup of Apple. The cheap iPhone will reportedly be smaller compared to iPhone 4, which was the main model of the device at that time.

The cheap iPhone will supposedly be similar to the design of a typical iPhone although it will have a cheaper body. Using polycarbonate plastic may allow Apple to bring down the cost of producing the device. The other components will come from the older models of the iPhone.

The Wall Street Journal report on the supposed cheap iPhone was also similar to the Digitimes report, which was not quite credible. The report revealed that the device will feature Snapdragon chipsets and a bigger screen display.

Well, it appears that this latest report on a supposed cheap iPhone simply shows that the season for Apple rumors has already started once again.

Consumers will be able to use any nano-SIM cards from any of the mobile service providers that support the unlocked iPhone 5.

The unlocked iPhone 5 will still have all the features of the iPhone that is locked to a two-year contract, according to the description of Apple for the unlocked model. Getting this model is beneficial for users who frequently travel abroad since they can easily use the nano-SIM of a mobile service provider at their destination.

After the camera is moved to put the light source out of the screen, the camera will show a purple halo. The same purple halo will reportedly appear on the images that are taken.

One forum user showed some iPhone 5 images that had the artificial light source and the sun off screen. The purple halo appeared on the images. Another forum user also posted a video that showed the purple halo lens flare.

However, it appears that the iPhone 5 image glitch was not true to all users, which is typical when it comes to glitches on newly-released devices. But a user has indicated that Apple support had revealed that the issue was widespread and the company is reportedly investigating it. Apple support has reportedly revealed that many users have called in connection to this latest issue on the iPhone 5.

A number of forum users have indicated that the issue may have been caused by the camera’s sapphire crystal lens cover. The material was used to protect the lens from being scratched. Another report indicated that since sapphire is available in numerous colors, the purple halo glitch may have been caused by light being refracted through a sapphire lens colored purple.

No other forum has mentioned this particular issue on the iPhone 5. Therefore it is not easy to know how widespread the problem is. For the moment Apple has yet to release an official statement on the latest issue that has emerged following the launch of the iPhone 5.

The reservations for the iPhone 5 unit will be accepted from 10PM to 4AM local time and can be picked up at the nearest apple store the following day. The note of the website of the company indicated that people should purchase “an iPhone from the people who know it best.”

Prior to the latest announcement, Apple was preparing for its reservation system for the iPhone 5.

Apple had indicated that the stocks of the iPhone 5 in the Apple stores are limited and are available to customers until supplies last. Pre-orders were accepted at 3AM Eastern last September 14. However, the units were easily sold out. In comparison, the touch sensors on the existing models of the iPhone are positioned on top of the color filters. The technology was patented by Apple, which will be the first company to use it and it will reduce the thickness of the iPhone 5 by at least 0.5 millimeters.

Aside from being slimmer, the screen display of the iPhone 5 will reportedly be bigger compared to the previous versions of the smartphone. Gruber indicated that it may be possible that two events may be held by Apple when it will introduce the two products. One event will feature the iPhone 5 together with the iOS 6 while the second event will feature the iPad Mini along with a new model of the iPod Touch.

Introducing the two devices at the same time will likely put a number of die-hard Apple fans in a quandary. It may have a significant effect on their budget particularly those who have a fixed salary, which may not be enough to cover the cost of acquiring both the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.

September Launch for AT&T iPhone 5 Hinted

Even as reports on the new iPhone 5 continue to emerge, it appears that a US-based network service provider is already working on the upcoming release of the next version of the popular smartphone of Apple.

Reports have hinted that AT&T is supposedly working on plans for the introduction of the new iPhone 5, which will supposedly be available near the end of the September. An anonymous source that is considered trusted by the mobile service provider made the revelation on the possible introduction of the new iPhone 5 by the third or the fourth week of the coming month.

The latest report on the possible launch of the new iPhone 5 is consistent with recent reports that the product will be launch by Apple during an event scheduled on September 12 and its possible release on September 21.

The mobile service provider is reportedly requiring all employees to be present in order to have enough personnel to handle the potentially huge demand for the next generation iPhone. The schedules of all employees are supposed to be clear until October as indicated in a report by BGR.

Another source has reportedly revealed to BGR that a major training for regional employees of AT&T that was originally scheduled near the start of October was supposedly postponed. The reason for the postponement was a conflict with a major announcement by the company.

But it did not give any indications that the major announcement was for the launch of the new iPhone 5. Recent reports have given indications that the new iPhone 5 will be released sometime next month along with another new product from Apple, the iPad Mini.

Latest reports have also shown that a number of retailers are currently selling the older models of the iPhone at reduced prices, which hint at preparations for the upcoming release of the new iPhone 5. In addition to the third-party retailers, Apple has also given the go signal to sell the current model of the iPhone at prices similar to those offered by the third-party retailers.

September 12 Pre-Orders For New iPhone 5 Hinted

It appears the authenticity of the supposed September release schedule for the new iPhone 5 is given more credence if a recent report is to be believed.

According to a report on iMore, pre-orders will be accepted starting on September 12 for the new iPhone 5 and is set to be delivered after one week. In addition to the September 12 event, the site also indicated that the next model of the iPhone may become available in a number of international markets by October 5.

The site cited sources that had provided accurate information on Apple products in the past.  The new iPhone 5 will reportedly become available in retail outlets by September 21 even as Apple has yet to make an official announcement on the release date of the device.

The latest report follows an earlier string of reports in connection to the new iPhone 5 which hinted of the possible features of the still-unannounced Apple product. Images of the supposed device were also leaked into the net in recent weeks although no official confirmation was made by the company in connection to the existence of the device.

In addition to the new iPhone 5, Apple will reportedly release into the market a smaller model of the iPad, the iPad Mini.

Reports also showed that the price tag for the iPhone 4S was reduced by a number of retailers including Target and Best Buy. This reduction in the price of an Apple device typically hint at the possible release of a new product, which increase speculations on the nearing release date for the new iPhone 5.

Despite an earlier lockdown imposed by Apple on its products, it appears that there are still some leaks somewhere as another image reportedly emerged in connection to the new iPhone 5.

The latest leaked image was posted by a WiPhone forum user that supposedly shows the motherboard / logic board of the next version of the iPhone of Apple. Although the processor is not included in the supposed leaked image, the smaller slot for the SIM card for the new iPhone 5 is noticeable.

The images show the front and back views of the board where the processor is positioned. It shows that the SIM card that will be used on the new iPhone 5 may be smaller compared to the one used on the current versions of the device.

An earlier leaked image had shown the nano-SIM of the new iPhone 5 and this latest leaked image adds more credence to earlier reports of a smaller SIM card for the next version of the iPhone.

In addition to the smaller SIM card, an iPhone repair company, iDeviceGuys, indicated that the battery connector shown on the supposed image of the new iPhone 5 motherboard only had four pins compared to the five pins that is found the earlier versions of the device. This gives an indication that the new iPhone 5 will likely feature a battery with a much higher capacity.

The latest leaked images were supposedly posted by the same user who had posted the genuine images of the motherboard for the iPhone 4S last year. It has now joined a number of leaked images of the new iPhone 5, which will reportedly be launched by Apple next month.

Earlier leaked images showed the different components of the new iPhone 5 including an image that supposedly showed an assembled model of the still-unreleased device.

As the supposed launch of the new iPhone 5 approaches, reports have continued to emerge and all of these reports will only be substantiated when the company will finally release the much-anticipated device into the market.

The survey showed that the iPhone 5 will become the foremost product of Apple in terms of sales despite the fact that the company has not yet officially confirmed their existence. The margin between the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini was reportedly wide in the survey that included 1,900 individuals.

Around 78 percent of the participants opted for the iPhone 5 with a number of the respondents indicating that the smartphone will be more useful for them. Some of the respondents even raised some questions on the usefulness of the upcoming iPad Mini.

Simulated Screenshots Hint At Bigger Screen For iPhone 5

It appears that new images have given more credence to earlier reports that the soon-to-be-released iPhone 5 will come with a bigger screen display.

A blog focused on Apple devices, 9to5Mac, reportedly discovered simulated screenshots of an iPhone that shows an extra row of icons, bringing the total number of rows to five rather than the typical four rows. This has added to the authenticity of earlier reports on a bigger screen display for the next iPhone, which is widely considered to be the iPhone 5.

Anonymous sources have reportedly informed the blog that testing for a taller display setting was already being implemented by Apple.  A number of developmental tools on the iOS 6 were used by the blog in simulating a screen resolution of 640 by 1136. This resulted to five icon rows instead of the typical four rows shown on the existing iOS.

The blog indicated that the five icon rows will not be displayed correctly using the simulator whenever a different resolution is used. The icons would be resized to the size used on the iPad if a different resolution was used.

A number of reports emerged last year that hinted of a four-inch screen display for the upcoming iPhone 5. The bigger screen display would definitely be quite appealing for potential users of the iPhone 5 even as a number of Android-powered devices are already using bigger screen displays.
