site based in China has reportedly posted the features of two upcoming Dell
ultrabooks. The Dell XPS 14 and the Dell XPS 15 are bigger versions of the Dell
XPS 13 although the upcoming devices will feature the Ivy Bridge processors of
Intel as well as Nvidia discrete graphics and HD + or full HD screen displays
The leaked
details have indicated that the upcoming Dell XPS 14 and Dell XPS 15 will
feature the quad-core Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors of Intel and an 8GB RAM.
The Dell XPS 14 was previously spotted on Amazon and the latest leak has
confirmed and given more details on the features of the upcoming device.
The device
will reportedly feature an HD + Gorilla Glass screen display that has a 1600 by
900 resolution.
The
resolution on the screen of the upcoming Dell XPS 14 is better compared to an
older model of the XPS 14 and the XPS 13 Ultrabook. The upcoming Dell XPS 14
will also come with a hybrid 32GB SSD / 500GB HDD as well as an Nvidia GT 630 M
graphics card that has a video memory of 1GB.
The Dell XPS
15 will feature a full HD screen display with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 as
well as the Nvidia GT 640 M graphics card that has a video memory of 2GB. The
upcoming device will also come with a hybrid storage made up of a 256 SSD and
1TB HDD.
The upcoming
Dell XPS 15 will also feature an optical drive that is quite unusual for an
Ultrabook.
The Dell XPS
14 and the Dell XPS 15 will feature backlit keyboards and a battery life of
around eight hours. The two upcoming devices will also feature HDMI and USB 3.0
ports. The upcoming Dell XPS 14 and the Dell XPS 15 Dell XPS 14 and Dell XPS 15
will be made of carbon fiber and aluminum which will allow them to be durable
and light weight.
The price
tag for the Dell XPS 14 and the Dell XPS 15 were not mentioned on the website
although Amazon had indicated that the older XPS 14 has a price tag of $1200.
This means the upcoming devices will be more expensive by around $100 to around
$300.
The upcoming
Dell XPS 14 and Dell XPS 15 will definitely be competitive in the market basing
on their leaked features and possibly reasonable price tags.
