India is
considered as one of the top markets for Samsung, which aims to take around
sixty percent of the smartphone market for this year. Last year the market
share of the company was at around 47 percent. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was
entered a number of markets recently including Europe, North Africa and the
Middle East.
The South
Korean company is planning to hold a World Tour for the Samsung Galaxy S3 as it
will be introduced in different markets around the world although the US
release of the device remains uncertain. A number of pop-up stores were set up
in different locations in London recently to start this campaign.
The Samsung Galaxy
S3 features a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, 8MP
camera at the back and a 1.9MP camera in front. The device will use the latest
version of the Android mobile platform of Google, the Android 4.0 OS.
Owners of
the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be able to use the Music Hub app that facilitates
the purchase and uploading of songs into a cloud, which can be accessed using a
PC as well as five other mobile devices. This iTunes-like service will be
available initially through the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the UK, France, Germany,
Spain and Italy although the company revealed that other device may be able to
access it in the future.
A music
catalog of around 19 million songs will be available for purchase by users of
the free version of the Music Hub. Once purchased the music will be stored on a
cloud and sent into the Samsung Galaxy S3 units of the buyers. A premium
version of the Music Hub is also available at around 10 pounds per month. This
version offers unlimited streaming from the Music Hub catalog. The music
collection of premium users can also be uploaded into the cloud.
The Samsung
Galaxy S3 will offer a number of features including the S-Voice, Smart Stay and
AllShare Play.
