It appears
that users of the Motorola Droid Razr M will have something to look forward to
in the coming days following the announcement by the company that it has
started to release the Jelly Bean Android Update for the device recently.
The update
will reportedly be released in phases although it did not reveal when it will
be able to complete the release of the Jelly Bean Android update to all
Motorola Droid Razr M units. A 254MB support document was also posted by
Verizon, which added that the download will take around thirty minutes to
complete. After the software is downloaded, it will take another thirty minutes
to install into the Motorola Droid Razr M unit. While the Jelly Bean Android
update is being installed, users will not be able to receive or make calls.
According to
the website of Motorola, the Jelly Bean Android update will bring numerous
features and applications into the Motorola Droid Razr M that will facilitate
the daily tasks of the users of the device. Among the features that will be offered
by the Jelly Bean Android update for the Motorola Droid Razr M include the
Voice Search function and Google Now.
The Voice
Search feature will allow users to speak into the phone when making searches
while Google Now is considered to be an intelligent personal assistant that
offers information such as the traffic on a certain route or the estimated time
of arrival of trains while waiting on a platform.
The Jelly
Bean Android update will also give users the capability of taking action
straight from the notifications, which will allow them to save time and effort
to accomplish the tasks. Users who receive a notification for a meeting on
their Motorola Droid Razr M unit can send a message directly from the reminder
if the user is running late.
Users of the
Motorola Droid Razr M will also have an enhanced photo gallery, the capability
of sharing photos through the Android Beam, a better text prediction feature,
and offline voice-typing capabilities after the Jelly Bean Android update.
