Motorola Droid Razr
|
It appears
that the Android 4.0 update will become available for the Verizon Motorola
Droid Razr by the coming week.
The MotorolaDroid Razr and the Droid Razr Maxx were supposed to receive the latest version
of the Android mobile platform last May 21 even as owners of the Motorola Xoom
tablets will have to continue to wait for the release of the Android 4.0 update
for their devices.
However it
seems that the tables have turned as the Android 4.0 update is currently being
released to the Motorola Xoom tablet while owners of the Motorola Droid Razr
have yet to receive their Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS.
According to
sources inside the US-based carrier, the over-the-air Android 4.0 update will
be released to the Motorola Droid Razr by June 12. Since the servers that are
used in delivering the latest Android mobile platform to the devices reportedly
needed to be updated, a delay in the release was supposedly inevitable.
For owners
of the Motorola Droid Razr who have reached their limit can opt to get the
unofficial Android 4.0 update although they should take into consideration that
since it is an unofficial update, it may result to the voiding of the warranty
of their respective devices.
