Reports have
hinted that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will feature a Super AMOLED display
screen measuring 5.5 inches and will feature a design similar to the
recently-released Samsung Galaxy S3.
The current
model of the Samsung Galaxy Note has a Super AMOLED HD screen measuring 5.3
inches and a screen ratio of 16:10. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is
expected to offer a screen ration of 16:9 with the bigger screen display.
Reports had
earlier hinted at the development of the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note
and recent reports have confirmed the slightly bigger screen size for the
upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
The exterior
of the upcoming device is expected to offer more curves, which gives
indications that the design of the Samsung Galaxy S3 was used as its
inspiration.
However no statements
were issued by Samsung in connection to the recent reports. The width of the
upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will reportedly be smaller compared to the
original model. The release date of the successor to the smartphone/tablet
hybrid was reportedly moved earlier to September from the initial release
schedule in October. The new release schedule for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was
reportedly made to allow the device to be released prior to the release of the
iPhone 5 of Apple.
Earlier
reports had indicated that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will feature the
Exynos 5250 chipset, dual-core ARM-15 processor, 2GB memory, and an eight-megapixel
camera.
The touch
detection technology on the reported Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be positioned
under the Super AMOLED screen instead of being positioned on top of the
display. This particular technology is reportedly being used by a number of
manufacturers including Motorola, Nokia, HTC, and LG.
