It appears
that the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display of Apple may be experiencing some
image issues, which has compelled the company to offer replacements for the
affected units.
Some users
of the MacBook Pro with Retina Display have indicated that some images would
continue to stay on the screen for a number of minutes. This may be the first
issue that the latest Apple device is facing.
Messages
were posted by the users on the Apple Support Communities as they complained
that some issue have cropped up as image continue to stay of the screen even
though they were supposed to fade away already. The persistent image issue on
the MacBook Pro with Retina Display is noted when the background is light and
will continue to stay on the display screen for around five minutes before they
fade away.
Some of the
users whose units were affected have revealed that replacement units were
ordered by the Apple Store after the personnel saw the issue for themselves.
Speculations have emerged that the problem may be limited to a particular batch
of MacBook Pro with Retina Display units since no reports have emerged that the
issue affected numerous units of the Apple device.
However some
observers have indicated that the in-plane-switching or IPS displays have been
affected by image persistence, which is one of the problems with the technology
that is being used on the MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Since Apple has a
fourteen-day return policy for its devices, replacements for the defective
units will not be a problem for users of the affected MacBook Pro with Retina
Display.
A ninety-day
technical phone support warranty is also offer by the company for the MacBook
Pro with Retina Display as well as a one-year limited warranty for defective
components on its devices.
